Terms of service

You answer our questionnaire. We prepare your will from your answers, a real person checks it, and we email it to you within 2 business days of having everything we need. For a Complete Will, that includes the extra details we ask for after payment. Your will comes with instructions for signing it in front of two witnesses.

We prepare documents from the information you give us. We don't give legal advice and we don't review your wider situation. If your affairs are complicated, or you're unsure whether a will covers what you need, see a lawyer.

• You're 18 or over and writing a will for yourself. A partner's mirror will is for your partner, who must agree to its contents.
• Your answers are accurate and complete. We check them for consistency, not for truth.
• You'll sign your will the way the instructions say. Until it's signed and witnessed, it isn't a valid will.
• You'll keep the signed original somewhere safe and tell your executors where it is. Uploading a copy to your vault helps them find it, but a copy isn't the original.
• You won't enter seed phrases, private keys or passwords anywhere on the site. Your legacy plan is for recording where things are, not what the keys are.

• Essential Will: A$149, paid once. Partner's mirror will +A$99.
• Complete Will: A$399, paid once. Partner's mirror will +A$199.
• Willies Plan: the first 12 months are included with every will. After that, A$49 a year, renewing automatically unless you turned that off at checkout or in your vault.
• Keep it safe: A$19 a year, if you choose it instead of the full plan.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payment is taken by Stripe at checkout. We'll give you notice by email before any price changes, and a change never applies to a will you've already paid for.

Every will includes the plan for its first 12 months. It gives you:

• Your will stored securely online, with your signed copy
• Unlimited updates whenever life changes
• Encrypted recovery plan for crypto and online accounts
• Your executors know exactly where to find it all

Updates: tell us what's changed from your vault, and we prepare a new version of your will, checked the same way, for you to sign again. Your old will stays valid until the new one is signed.

Renewing: if you choose to renew automatically, the plan renews each year for the price above on the card you paid with. We email you 30 days and 7 days before each renewal. Turn off auto-renew any time from your vault, or by emailing us: the year you've paid for runs to its end, and there are no fees. Your signed will stays valid, and you can download your documents at any time.

Keep it safe: a cheaper yearly option with your will and signed copy stored, your legacy plan kept for your executors, a yearly check-up and one update a year. Changing your legacy plan, and more updates, need the full plan. If you switch during a year you've paid for, the full plan carries on until that year ends.

If your plan ends, we keep your will and your legacy plan stored, and they can still be released to your executors. Making changes to either needs an active plan. If a card payment fails, your plan stays active while Stripe retries it.

The plan is encrypted in your browser with a passphrase you choose. We store only encrypted data. We can't read your plan, reset your passphrase, or recover the plan if you lose both your passphrase and your recovery key. Keep the recovery key somewhere safe.

Release: we release a will and legacy plan to the people you nominated only after we have sighted a death certificate and confirmed the executor's identity. Your executors then sign in with the email address you gave us and enter the code from the executor kit you printed. Neither we nor an executor can open the plan alone.

You sign in with a link we email you. There's no password. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can open your vault. Sign-in links work once and expire in 20 minutes.

If there's a mistake in your will that comes from our side, tell us and we'll fix it at no charge. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to everything we sell, and nothing here limits them.

Beyond that, we're responsible for preparing your will carefully from your answers. We aren't responsible for answers that were wrong or incomplete, for a will that wasn't signed and witnessed properly, or for what happens to a signed original you keep yourself.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
